Usually anything with starting with the word ‘critical’ you want to stay away from. It’s a term that means severe in most case, however in the case of cannabis critical is a good thing. In this case, Critical Kush can be best described as a strain that allows the users to experience positive “severe” level of stoned with a good balance of a head and body high.
I picked up about a gram of Critical Kush, and indica dominant hybrid from Bud & Bloom, a new dispensary in Santa Ana. It light bright, almost pastel, green with highlights of bright orange hairs would catch any cannabis connoisseurs attention really. Although I had no intention of picking up more than my usual, Girl Scout Cookies, I had to pick this one up based on its color alone.
“Critical Kush from Barney’s Farm is a mostly indica strain that blends together two famed cannabis staples, Critical Mass and OG Kush,” according to Leafly.
I usually like to take my time when trying a new strain but I just couldn’t wait to try Critical Kush. Once I broke it down I also noticed how fluffy and full it was. At this point, I feel like I’ve tried, tasted, and touched almost every type of weed but this was a new experience. It was soft, almost broke down like butter.
As far as how it smokes, very tasty but not too flavored. Some people don’t like their weed to taste like anything but weed and that’s what you get with critical kush. It has an earthy organic taste to it.Critical Kush is high in THC, compared to other kush strains, but also has a good amount of CBD as well.
“Critical Kush pairs a staggeringly high THC content with a moderate dose of CBD, making this strain a perfect nighttime medication for pain, stress, insomnia, and muscle spasms,” also said on Leafly.
Therefore the effects of it were absolutely fantastic for back pain and anxiety. I primarily smoke to treat my anxiety so any strain that defeats that is an automatic win in my book. The only downside to this strain is because it is so high in THC, you get very stoned very quickly so this isn’t something to smoke and then try to go be productive, it just won’t happen.
Overall if you’re looking for a strain that will defeat physical pain and put you in a super relaxed state, Critical Kush is a must try.
